THE CURRICULUM
What you’ll study
Six interwoven modules build the foundation of the Mindful Teacher — cerebral and embodied, technical and reflective.
01
Asana & Alignment
Postures broken down with anatomical precision. Learn to see bodies clearly and offer modifications that meet students where they are.
02
Sequencing & Theming
Architecture of an intelligent class. Build sequences with intention, peak poses, and themes that turn movement into meaning.
03
The Art of Cueing
Find your voice. Clear, generous language that guides without dictating — and creates space for students to find their own practice.
04
Philosophy & History
The yamas, niyamas, eight limbs, and the long lineage you're stepping into. Why this practice has held for millennia.
05
Anatomy & Physiology
Bones, muscles, fascia, and breath. Trauma-informed and rooted in current science — including the nervous system's role in healing.
06
The Teacher's Path
Business of yoga, ethics, the teacher-student relationship, and what it means to keep showing up — long after the training ends.
YOUR TEACHERS
Led by devoted practitioners.
These teachers bring passion, reverence, and humor together for a teacher training unlike any other.
Annette K. Scott
KODAWARI FOUNDER
Annette is the founder of Kodawari Studios and a teacher, facilitator, and entrepreneur whose work explores the intersection of yoga, nervous system health, ritual, and human connection. She began practicing yoga in 1998 and has spent decades studying the ways contemplative practices can help people return to themselves with greater awareness, compassion, and integrity.
Since 2013, Annette has trained and mentored yoga teachers with an emphasis on presence, discernment, skillful communication, and the creation of spaces that feel both safe and transformative. Her teaching blends traditional yoga philosophy with modern understandings of trauma, neurobiology, co-regulation, breathwork, and relational healing.
Her classes and trainings are known for weaving together grounded practicality, thoughtful inquiry, humor, emotional intelligence, and depth. Students can expect an experience that values curiosity as much as technique and invites them to move beyond performance toward embodied awareness, authentic connection, and meaningful participation in their own lives.
Annette is also the co-founder of Revivery and Hot Box Cold Plunge, where she continues her exploration of resilience, ritual, and nervous system regulation through contrast therapy and community-based wellness experiences.
At the heart of her work is a simple but enduring inquiry: how do we create practices, relationships, and spaces that help people come home to themselves and care for one another more honestly?
Bradley J.
KODAWARI TEACHER
Bradley has been the lead teacher at Kodawari Studios since 2024. He discovered the practice of yoga while living in Nashville and began practicing in 2015 after attending his first public yoga class — a heated 26 & 2 class (yikes!) — at the encouragement of one of his dearest friends. What first drew him in was the physical intensity of the heated room, the challenge of the practice, and the unfamiliar stillness and silence yoga asked him to sit with.
From there, curiosity led him deeper into the world of movement and mindfulness through vinyasa, power yoga, yin, Buti, meditation, and many other modalities and approaches to practice.
In 2019, Bradley relocated to Tampa and found Kodawari Studios as a place to continue his personal practice — but what he found was much more than a studio. He began subbing Buti Yoga classes and eventually decided to deepen his relationship with the practice by enrolling in Kodawari’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program. Through that experience, he discovered a genuine passion for teaching and dove headfirst into teaching full time in 2021.
His teaching style is an eclectic weave of the many practices, teachers, and lineages he has studied and experienced over the years. Bradley’s classes are known for being dynamic, fluid, music-driven, and deeply embodied — balancing strength, creativity, challenge, emotional release, mindfulness, and connection. He believes yoga is not just about movement, but about creating experiences that help people feel more present, empowered, alive, and at home within themselves.
